Acknowledgment: Up to $10.00 per signature
North Carolina caps notary fees at $10.00 per notarized principal signature for acknowledgments, jurats, verifications or proofs; $10.00 per person for oaths/affirmations without a signature; $15.00 per electronically notarized principal signature (and per person for electronic oaths); and $25.00 per notarized principal signature for remote notarization; plus mileage at the federal business rate if agreed to in writing in advance.

How North Carolina counts notary fees
Counted per signature
Acknowledgment, jurat, verification on oath, electronic notarization and remote online notarization are capped for each signature notarized, not for each document or appointment. Two people signing the same document are two signatures.
