Acknowledgment: Up to $5.00 per signature
Mississippi rules cap notary fees at $5 per signature for acknowledgments, jurats, and signature witnessings, and $5 per person for oaths or affirmations without a signature. Rule 9.2 allows an additional fee of up to $25 (e.g., communication technology for remote notarization), so no notarial act may cost more than $30 total.

How Mississippi counts notary fees
Counted per signature
Acknowledgment, jurat and signature witnessing are capped for each signature notarized, not for each document or appointment. Two people signing the same document are two signatures.

- 2 signers on each of 3 documents (6 signatures): up to $30.00
Counted per person
Oath / affirmation is capped per individual: the count is the number of people, not pages or signatures.

Remote online notarization: each notarial act performed is capped at $30.00. The maximum for several acts is the number of acts times the per-act cap.
