How Arizona counts notary fees
Counted per signature
Acknowledgment and jurat are capped for each signature notarized, not for each document or appointment. Two people signing the same document are two signatures.

- 2 signers on one document: up to $20.00
- 2 signers on each of 3 documents (6 signatures): up to $60.00
Counted per notarial act
Oath / affirmation and remote online notarization: each notarial act performed is capped at $10.00 (or the amount listed for that act). The maximum for several acts is the number of acts times the per-act cap.

Fees charged by an Arizona Notary Public may vary from "no charge" up to $10. For an acknowledgment of jurat, a notary public may charge "no charge" up to $10 per notary public signature; for a copy certification, "no charge" up to $10 per page certified; and for an oath or affirmation, "no charge" up to $10 per notarial act. A notary public may charge a fee of up to $25 for each remote online notarial act. The secretary of state shall establish fees that notaries public may charge for notarial acts. A notary shall not advertise or charge or receive a fee for performing a notarial act except as specifically authorized by rule.
