Washington Notary Fees
Acknowledgment: Up to $15.00 per act
Washington's maximum fees are $15 per notarial act (witnessing/attesting a signature, acknowledgment or verification on oath, copy certification, administering an oath, certifying an event) and $25 per remote notarial act; the in-person maximum was raised from $10 to $15 by DOL rulemaking (public hearing May 21, 2024). Notaries need not charge and may add actual copying costs.

How Washington counts notary fees
Counted per notarial act
Signature witnessing, acknowledgment, verification on oath, copy certification, oath / affirmation, any other notarial act and remote online notarization: each notarial act performed is capped at $15.00 (or the amount listed for that act). The maximum for several acts is the number of acts times the per-act cap.
