A Connecticut notary may charge no more than $5 for any notarial act, plus 35 cents per mile of travel. A 2026 bill (SB 262) to raise the cap to $10 was pending; its enactment was not confirmed in official results.

2026 Raised Bill No. 262 (https://www.cga.ct.gov/2026/TOB/S/PDF/2026SB-00262-R00-SB.PDF) would amend § 3-95 to increase the fee 'from a fee of not exceeding five dollars to a fee of not exceeding ten dollars'; a 2025 bill (SB 1023) also proposed increases.
