Acknowledgment: Up to $10.00 per act
A Florida notary's fee may not exceed $10 for any one notarial act; an online notary public (or its employer) may charge up to $25 for an online notarial act. No fee may be charged for witnessing a vote-by-mail ballot.

Counted per notarial act
Acknowledgment, jurat, oath / affirmation, any other notarial act and remote online notarization: each notarial act performed is capped at $10.00 (or the amount listed for that act). The maximum for several acts is the number of acts times the per-act cap.

Electronic and remote notarization
An online notary public or the employer of such online notary public may charge a fee, not to exceed $25, for performing an online notarial act.

The fee of a notary public may not exceed $10 for any one notarial act under this part, except as provided in s. 117.045 or s. 117.275. A notary public may not charge a fee for witnessing a vote-by-mail ballot in an election, and must witness such a ballot upon the request of an elector, provided the notarial act is in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. An online notary public or the employer of such online notary public may charge a fee, not to exceed $25, for performing an online notarial act.
Caveats and research notes
The $10 cap has been consistent across statute editions from 2003 through 2025. Section 117.045 (solemnizing marriage) is a separate exception to the $10 cap; its amount was not returned by official results.
