Oklahoma notaries may charge a maximum of $5.00 for each notarial act (no fee for notarizing an absentee ballot) and up to $25.00 for a remote online notarial act. Notaries are not required to charge a fee.

Counted per notarial act
Acknowledgment, jurat, oath / affirmation, copy certification, remote online notarization and any other notarial act: each notarial act performed is capped at $5.00 (or the amount listed for that act). The maximum for several acts is the number of acts times the per-act cap.

A notary public, or a person acting for or on behalf of a notary public, may charge and collect a fee not to exceed Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) for a remote online notarial act.

Caveats and research notes
No fee may be charged for notarizing a signature on an absentee ballot. Notaries are not required to charge a fee. The specific Title 49 section number containing the $5.00 general cap was not returned by search (former 28 O.S. § 34 was reported repealed in 1967); the $5.00 figure appears in the SOS Notary FAQ, the SOS Notary Public Guide (https://www.sos.ok.gov/forms/notary/notarypublicguide.pdf), and the SB 915 (2019) enrolled bill.
