Acknowledgment: Up to $2.50 per act
New Jersey notary fees are set by State Treasurer regulation at N.J.A.C. 17:50-1.18: $2.50 per act for oaths, affidavits, proofs of deed and acknowledgments, with flat per-transaction caps of $15.00 for real-estate transfer (grantor) notarizations and $25.00 for real-estate financing (mortgagor) notarizations regardless of the number of services in the transaction.

How New Jersey counts notary fees
Counted per notarial act
Acknowledgment, oath / affirmation, jurat and any other notarial act: each notarial act performed is capped at $2.50. The maximum for several acts is the number of acts times the per-act cap.

Caveats and research notes
Under P.L. 2021, c. 179 the fee is no longer fixed by statute (formerly N.J.S.A. 22A:4-14) but by the State Treasurer by regulation (N.J.A.C. 17:50-1.18). The $2.50 amounts were returned from the nj.gov rule-adoption PDF via search snippet; the current Notary Public Manual (Chapter 11, Fees for Notarial Services) should be checked to confirm no later amendment. No separate remote/electronic notarization fee amount was returned by official-domain searches.
