Acknowledgment: Up to $2.00 per signer
New York's statutory notary fee is $2.00 for administering an oath or affirmation and $2.00 for taking and certifying an acknowledgment or proof of execution, per person, plus $2.00 for swearing each witness. Electronic (remote) notarial acts may be charged up to $25.00 per electronic notarial act under 19 NYCRR Part 182 (effective January 25, 2023).

Electronic and remote notarization
An Electronic Notary may charge up to $25.00 per electronic notarial act performed. The fee may be charged for each notarial act performed during one electronic session. A certificate of authenticity for any document that has been created through an electronic notarial act is a notarial act for which $2.00 may be charged. These changes became effective on January 25, 2023.

For taking and certifying the acknowledgment or proof of execution of a written instrument, by one person, the fee is $2, and by each additional person, $2, with a fee of $2 for swearing each witness thereto. ... A notary public may charge a fee of $2.00 for administering an oath or affirmation or for taking an acknowledgment or proof of execution. Unless otherwise authorized by law, a notarial fee may not exceed this amount.
Caveats and research notes
Multiple bills (2019 S7338, 2021 S449, 2023 S4166, 2025 S6268 / A3360) propose raising the Executive Law § 136 fee from $2.00 to $5.00; per nysenate.gov results these have not been enacted as of the search. The $2.00 fee dates from 1991.
