Hawaii sets statutory fees per notarial act: $5 for administering an oath (plus $2.50 per duplicate original beyond four), $5 per signing party for an acknowledgment (plus $2.50 per person per duplicate original beyond one), and $5 for protests, notices/certified copies of protest, and depositions or official certificates. The Attorney General's rules limit charges to these prescribed fees; a notary may charge less.

Acknowledgment is capped per individual: the count is the number of people, not pages or signatures.

Counted per notarial act
Oath / affirmation and protest: each notarial act performed is capped at $5.00. The maximum for several acts is the number of acts times the per-act cap.

HRS §456-17 states fees the notary 'is entitled to demand and receive'; HAR ch. 5-11 (https://ag.hawaii.gov/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/HAR-Ch-5-11.pdf) and the AG Notary Public Manual (https://ag.hawaii.gov/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Notary-Manual-website-version-2023_AG-website_updated-2023-04-14.pdf) make these the maximum permitted charges. HRS §456-17 provides that fees may be adjusted by rules adopted under chapter 91. Jurat/copy-certification fees are not separately enumerated; the statute's 'official certificate' $5 line likely governs but was not explicitly labeled.
