Caveats and research notes
The $25 cap and disclosure text come from the RI Department of State notary manual/guides and the 'Getting a Document Notarized' page (https://www.sos.ri.gov/divisions/notary-public/getting-a-document-notarized). Searches of webserver.rilegislature.gov did not return the specific section number of Chapter 42-30.1 that states the $25 amount (§ 42-30.1-12.1 concerns remotely located individuals, not fees); a human should confirm the statutory section.
