Electronic and remote notarization
K.A.R. 7-43-20: any notary public may perform notarial acts for remotely located individuals only after being authorized as a notary public and notifying the secretary; the notary must be physically located in Kansas at the time of the notarization. (The '$25' amounts in K.S.A. 53-5a and SB 106 are information-and-services fees paid to the Secretary of State for e-notary/RON registration, not caps on fees charged to signers.)
